Black Queer Town Hall Launch

Launching a non-profit with Drag Queen royalty to support Black Queer talent and causes

What started out as a local community effort backed by GLAAD and NYC Pride, pivoted to address and spotlight the Black queer community, during the height of the national protests in 2020.

Hosted by LGBTQ icons, Bob the Drag Queen and Peppermint, the inaugural Black Queer Town Hall was a three-day event filled with performances, appearances, and roundtable discussions centered around a diverse collection of Black, queer thinkers, artists, community leaders and advocates as well as outspoken allies.

The goal of the platform is to create a space to heal, mourn, and rejoice Black lives, while raising money for Black, queer talent and causes.
